Garbage / Waste Disposal
The Borough of Midland is contracted with Valley Waste Service, Inc. to provide residential curbside pick up on a weekly basis. Midland residents are required to pay for this service under the terms of the contract.

Valley provides residential service to Midland every Monday with the following exceptions:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If collection falls on or after a weekday holiday, it will be one day later in that week.
Commercial and industrial customers may contract with a waste disposal service of their choice.
Recycling
Midland is currently working with the Beaver County Department of Waste Management to determine the best options for recycling for the Borough, its residents, businesses, and institutions.

Midland does provide leaf collection for residents throughout the fall months. The Borough supports paper recycling through a paper collection dumpster in the parking lot of the Borough Building. The dumpster is accessible to the public 24 hours a day, year-round.

Street Sweeping / Leaf Pick Up
MIDLAND BOROUGH DEPARTMENT OF WORKS will start leaf collection on October 26, 2020 from Monday–Thursday. Please follow leaf collection signs that are posted on every Avenue.
NO PARKING FROM 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Street sweeping occurs throughout the Borough on a weekly basis. The sweeping schedule is as follows:

| Tuesday | Beaver Avenue – North Side / Penn Avenue – South Side |
| Wednesday | Ohio Avenue – North Side / Virginia Avenue – South Side |
| Thursday | Ohio Avenue – South Side / Virginia Avenue – North Side |
Sweeping generally occurs from May through November. Leaf collection occurs in December and January, weather permitting.
Parking is prohibited during posted hours on sweeping days. The Midland Borough Police Department is authorized to ticket vehicles parked in violation of the ordinance.
